On June 18, the Information Office of the Jilin Provincial People’s Government held a press conference on a new round of policies and measures for stimulating consumption and boosting domestic demand issued by the provincial government recently.
There are 14 policies and measures in 5 categories. Five measures focus on stimulating the consumption of key commodities and services, including increasing automobile consumption, encouraging the upgrade consumption of home appliances, boosting the consumer market of tourism and sports, upgrading the services of community life and continuously carrying out voucher campaigns. Three policies focus on building the platforms and carriers of consumption stimulation, including promoting the development of nighttime economy, developing roadside businesses in an orderly manner and launching projects to empower e-commerce. Four measures focus on strengthening the supporting conditions for promoting consumption, including supporting the healthy development of micro and small-sized enterprises as well as individual businesses, reducing the operating burden of market entities in the service industry, enhancing the spending power of consumers and giving full play to the role of logistics support. One measure focuses on promoting the reform and opening-up of the service industry. Specifically, it is to implement the spirit of relevant national documents, formulate and issue the implementation plans of the province, carry out ten actions for the reform and opening-up of the service industry, and implement ten measures for the reform and opening-up of the service industry. One measure focuses on fully reflecting the effect of promoting consumption. Specifically, it is to ensure the statistics of service industry in a scientific and orderly manner, establish a mechanism for sharing information among departments and promote the storage of canteen statistics in large-scale trading market, universities and colleges, government agencies and public institutions.
