2012 is the 40th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan. After the normalization of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1972, China and Japan have strengthened cooperation in trade, investment, culture and other areas for the development of friendly relations between the two countries. As to the Sino-Japanese economic relations, China is Japan's largest trading partner and Japan is China's second largest trading partner. In addition, Japan's direct investment in China ranks third in the world, with investment in China in 2011 increased by 60% over the previous year, exceeding 1 trillion yen. More than 15,000 Japanese companies have done business in China.
China and Japan are
friendly neighbors connected by waters, and the development of both sides can bring great opportunities for the region and the international community. Considering from this point, I look forward to deepening the win-win relationship between China and Japan, in order to achieve further development in Northeast Asia. The three northeastern provinces is the first region in China to develop heavy industry. Since the planning for northeast revitalization was published in 2003, here has undergone reform and development. In 2011, the region continued to maintain a 12% - 13% double-digit growth, and became a driving force of economic growth in China.
If we look to the relationship between Japan and three northeastern provinces, we will find that Japanese companies have set up production bases in automobile, mechanical industry and software industry, and about 1500 Japanese companies have stationed in. The three northeastern provinces have a population of about 110 million. Based on its great economic strength, in the future, it will become a promising growth market and an attractive region.
Currently, Changchun
City and Jilin City in the northeast China and other inland areas are carrying out infrastructure construction for the national strategy projects together with the coastal regions and the cities of with the cities in bordering Russia and other countries, such as the development of Tumen River. The implementation of these projects will continue to promote the construction of the investment in environmental for the purpose of introduction of foreign capital.
