Erdaobaihe Town is the gate to the North Slope of Changbai Mountain and 35 kilometers away from the North Scenic Area located at the foot of Changbai Mountain. It is named after the Erdaobai River running through the town. In the Qing Dynasty, Erdaobaihe was regarded as its birthplace with the myth of the first ancestor. The winter season in Changbai Mountain area is from December to next April with the temperature of -5 ℃ to -25 ℃ which is suitable for winter vacation.

Tourists can walk around the Erdaobaihe Town and enjoy the beautiful and unique scenery at Changbai Mountain scenic area.

[Meiren Pine Forest] - the intersection of Mountain Road and Baihe Street

Tourists will see a large area of beautiful pine forest after entering the north gate of the town.

The beautiful pine forest is divided into four parts by the road and each part is unbounded. Tourists can walk into the pine forest along the stone path and enjoy the atmosphere comfortably and leisurely. The hundreds-year-old pines witness the historical changes and the coming and going of human being. The early morning sunshine scatters in the forest and shades the wooden chairs. Besides the beautiful pine forest, you may also meet aged-people practicing calligraphy on the ground and feel the elegant life in town.

[Beer Square] - intersection of Baishan Street and Changqing Road.

Walk along the Meiren Pine Forest to the south and you will reach the Beer Square.

Beer Square is an excellent place for friends to get together, drink beer and chat freely. Especially during the night, the square will be covered with romantic moonlight.

[Roller-skating Square] - intersection of Baihe Street and Lijing Road

The pleasure from mountains and rivers is different from gathering joy. The roller-skating square along the river will bring you close to nature.

Walk along the Baihe Street to the south and you will see a huge waterwheel which shows ancient wisdom. Keep walking to the suspension bridge and you will see a beautiful scenery accompanied by the sounds of running water and birds. There is Yaowang Valley at the other end of the suspension bridge with a unique scenery.

[Changbai Mountains Natural Museum] - intersection of Baihe Street and Baoshan Road

Walk along the roller-skating square to the south about 1.3km and you will reach the Changbai Mountains Natural Museum which is the largest museum with more than 1500 animal and plant specimens, accounting for about 60% of the species treasure in Changbai Mountain.

The two-floor museum is divided into four halls to exhibit the landform, vertical landscape, natural resources, history and development of Changbai Mountain. The simulation models and specimens will leave a deep impression on you. The most attractive exhibit is the miniature Changbai Mountain landscape and you can see a whole picture of Changbai Mountain, the boundary line between China and North Korea, Tianchi outlet and Changbai Mountain Waterfall with a drop of nearly 70 meters.
