During the festival, large-scale cultural tourism activities such as “commando aerobatics performance”, “The Same Song”, and “Date with Rose” were ever held.

Changbai Mountain, Songhua River, Yalu River Tourism Festival

It fully presents rich natural ecological landscape in Baishan City and brilliant Manchu and Korean history and culture and colorful folk customs. The tourism activities are aimed to integrate tourism resources, dig tourism culture, promote tourist routes, improve tourist facilities, improve service levels, and boost the comprehensive, rapid, and healthy development of the Baishan City tourism industry.

China Chagan Lake Mongolia Folk Tourism Festival

Place: Songyuan City

The main contents include a series of Mongolian traditional program and new-type recreational activities such as arts concerts, horse racing, opera performances, picking festival, and watermelon festival. The festival was awarded to be “2006 China Top Ten Folk Festivals” by the second session of the annual meeting of Chinese festivals.

Initiating in 2002, China Jilin Changbai Mountain Red Leaves Tourism Festival is a large-scale festival mainly exhibiting the autumn landscape in Changbai Mountain branch range, Jiaohe City Qingling Scenic Area, and Songhua Lake Scenic Area – red leaves as well as natural and human tourism resources in Jiaohe City, Jilin.

Momoge Scenic Area in Zhenlai County is a paradise of birds, where there are 297 bird species. The number of crane species is 15 in the globe, of which six species are in the protected area. Especially, the number of white cranes takes 95% of the world’s total. In order to better publicize and promote tourism resources of the hometown of white cranes, the festival is held.

China Jilin International Rime Ice and Snow Festival was first held in 1991. Through years of development, the festival has become an excellent provincial festival and one of large-sized festivals in the nation. The festival, with three themes “watching rime wonder, experiencing skiing passion, and feeling spa culture”, carries out many unique characteristic festival activities, such as dynamic Jilin happy skiing, ice and snow hot spring cultural tourism festival, Beishan New Year temple fair, Manchu Yangko, winter swimming, ice light, snow sculpture exhibition, fireworks show, floating river lanterns, and rime ambassador competition.

Place: Chagan Lake Tourism Resort, Qianguo County, Songyuan City

The festival will reproduce the most primitive fishing methods, with the fishing scene as a world wonder. The ice fishing with single net creates Guinness World Record. The main activities include sacrificing for lake and awakening net, auction of first fish, ice and snow Naadam, and watching face on ice. At the second session of the annual meeting of Chinese festivals, the festival is awarded “2006 China top ten natural ecology festivals”.

Harnao Fishing Festival

Place: Harnao state-owned fishing ground, Zhenlai, Baicheng Town

Harnao state-owned fishing ground, located at Zhenlai, has aquaculture area of 60,000 mu (1 mu = 667 square meters) and natural fishing water area of 120,000 mu. The winter fishing festival, on basis of the theme “viewing ice and snow beauty at Nenjiang River sides and appreciating winter fishing wonder at hometown of white cranes”, is aimed to protect and pass on traditional fishing and hunting culture by virtue of “winter fishing tourism activities’.

Yanbian Arirang Ice and Snow Festival

The main contents include skiing, casual skiing, ice engraving, snow sculpturing, sitting on snow circle, playing snow games, and tasting characteristic food.
