Jilin University (JLU) was founded in 1946, with more than half a century of history in China. It is also known as an important cradle for talent cultivation and scientific research, ranking ahead on the list of the 100 key universities of China with its comprehensive strength, influence and development potential. JLU provides free group-insurance for self-financed international students who will study more than half a year here in JLU. The insurance guaranteed by Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China covers the expenses caused by disease hospitalization or accidental injuries, with a maximum coverage of RMB 0.51 million.

The students who are from the institutions that have signed exchange and cooperation agreements with JLU may directly enroll in class of the selected specially, provided they have passed the language requirement test. To get the degree certificate and diploma of JLU, the student must have studied at JLU for a period of not less than two successive years (including the last year), completed all the required courses, and successfully defended the graduation thesis.

And the students from the institutions that have signed exchange and cooperation agreements with JLU, after studying at JLU for not less than half a year, will enjoy 15% discount off tuition.
