On behalf of the Jilin provincial Party committee and the provincial government, Jing Junhai extended warm welcome to the guests participating in the event. He said that Jilin is the birthplace of China's auto industry, Changchun is a famous "Auto City", and FAW is the cradle of China's auto industry.

Jing Junhai said that at present, a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation is booming, and the form and pattern of the global auto industry are accelerating to reshape. The auto industry has been developing towards the electrified, intelligent, internet-connected and shared trend, and automobile products have become a high-tech mobile intelligent cockpit integrating transportation tool, learning platform, work carrier, living space and entertainment center, providing a broad space and stage for Jilin's auto industry to make new advances and achievements at a new starting point. Jing stressed that we must proactively seize the opportunities of our times, actively adapt to the change trend, boost the development of the auto industry with the efforts of the whole province, support FAW to become a world-class enterprise, help Changchun build itself into a world-class international auto city, focus on making major breakthroughs in core technologies in key areas, formulate and improve industrial standards, restructure industrial and innovation chains, perfect industrial and innovation ecosystems, achieve the coordinated development of complete vehicles and auto parts, further strengthen domestic automobile brands such as Hongqi, Jiefang and Bestune, move faster to foster a trillion-level industrial cluster of modern new-type automobiles and auto parts, and comprehensively build a world-class R&D, production and post-market service base for complete vehicles and auto parts. Jing said that hopefully, universities, research institutes, automobile enterprises and technology companies will carry out more practical cooperation with Jilin in a wider range and at a deeper level, jointly build an automobile innovation industry alliance, keep developing new automobile technologies and products, create new models and business forms, and join hands to promote the high-quality development of the auto industry.
