Jing Junhai meets with Carlos Miguel Pereira Hernández, Cuban ambassador to China

On March 30, Jing Junhai, Party chief of Jilin province, met with Carlos Miguel Pereira Hernández, the Cuban ambassador to China, and his entourage in Changchun.
  
Jing Junhai extended welcome to Pereira and his entourage for their visit to Jilin. Over the years, Jilin and Cuba have enjoyed strong political ties, closer cultural exchanges and deepening economic cooperation. Especially in the face of the unexpected COVID-19 outbreak, the two sides have worked in unity to help each other overcome the challenge. Jing said that hopefully, both sides will thoroughly implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, continue to expand exchanges and cooperation in the fields of medicine and health, education, science and technology and culture, jointly support the development of joint ventures, take solid steps to promote the biomedical production project and other cooperation projects, share experiences, exchange ideas, innovate and develop more medical and health products.
Pereira said that this is his second visit to Jilin after many years, and he saw gratifying changes and remarkable achievements in Jilin's economic and social development. Cuba attaches great importance to the development of cooperative relations with Jilin, and is willing to work closely with Jilin in biomedicine, personnel training and other areas for shared progress and win-win results, so as to further enhance the friendly relations between the two sides and better realize respective development goals.
During his stay in Jilin, Pereira and his entourage visited FAW Group and Changchun Heber Company, gave a lecture in Spanish Department of Jilin University and discussed cooperation with heads of Changchun city and Jilin University.
