On March 25, the provincial Party committee and the provincial government held a launch ceremony of the 2021 "promoting 'one pillar, six doubles', speeding up projects" action & spring projects centralized commencement activity via video link. Construction on a total of 843 projects, each with an investment of more than 50 million yuan was launched in the whole province. Han Jun, deputy secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and governor of the province, made a speech.
  
Jing Junhai, Party chief of Jilin province, stressed that all localities and departments should take the construction of projects as a new starting point, devote full energy to speeding up major projects and set off an upsurge of project construction in an all-round way. He urged efforts to focus on the industrial chain in both upstream and downstream sectors, set up a special task force for investment attraction, enterprise introduction and project settlement, keep improving the business environment and provide good services for enterprise development and project construction. He also noted that Changchun city should continue to plan and implement a number of large and good projects in key fields such as modern new-type automobile, electronic information, high and new technology and biomedicine.
 
Up to now, 1,677 projects worth more than 50 million yuan each have started construction in the province, with a total investment of 1.02 trillion yuan and an annual planned investment of 246.53 billion yuan. 
Han Jun pointed out in his speech that all localities and departments should firmly establish the concept that development is the top priority and project is the first support, concentrate the spirit of accelerating the revitalization and development on project construction, continue to make efforts to speed up projects, strive to achieve better results in project construction throughout the year and lay the foundation for a good start in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025).
