19th Vasaloppet China Changchun Jingyuetan International Ski Festival kicks off

On the morning of December 29, the 19th Vasaloppet China Changchun Jingyuetan International Ski Festival kicked off as scheduled at Jingyuetan National Scenic Area in Changchun. This year's ski festival will last until February 26 and launch seven winter sporting events and thirteen ice-snow cultural tourism activities to create an ice and snow feast with rich connotation, diversified forms, ornamental value and entertainment for tourists and local people.
 
Five professional events were held on the opening day of the ski festival, including the 50-km FIS Worldloppet Cup, the 50-km Vasaloppet public cross-country ski race, the 25-km Vasaloppet public cross-country ski race, the 2.5-km Vasa Fun Ski and the 25-km long-distance ski race for Chinese university students. More than 550 skiers from Heilongjiang, Jilin, Shanxi, Guizhou, Qinghai, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, Inner Mongolia autonomous region and Tibet autonomous region participated in the races, as well as foreign skiers.
 
Representatives from the International Ski Federation, Vasaloppet Sweden and Vasaloppet United States and members of Worldloppet Italy and Worldloppet France are invited to participate in the online races. Online and offline competitions will be held simultaneously. 104 competitors from 22 countries such as Sweden, France and Italy have registered to participate in the online Vasaloppet China ski races. After uploading results to the Vasaloppet China platform, the online competitors will also win medals and participate in the international ranking of competition results.
