The 17th China (Changchun) International Auto Expo kicked off on July 10 at the Changchun International Convention and Exhibition Center. It is the first expo held this year among the five major auto shows in China with the theme of "Changchun Auto Expo · Enjoy New Life", attracting about 150 domestic and international auto brands with more than 1,400 vehicles exhibited online and offline.

This year's auto expo adopts the exhibition mode of "main venue + branch venue + online exhibition hall" to realize the "one main and multiple branches, online and offline" synchronous and interactive display. The offline exhibition covers a total area of 203,000 square meters, displayed in the form of "main venue + branch venue". The main exhibition venue is set at the Changchun International Convention and Exhibition Center, covering an area of 150,000 square meters and featuring eight indoor halls, four outdoor halls and livestreaming areas. Branch venues are set at the second-hand car market and some 4S shops on Kaixuan Road, with a total area of 53,000 square meters. Combined with the comprehensive service platform—“展E通”app, the online exhibition hall is built into an online platform integrating "display + transaction".

The 2nd Hongqi Carnival was held on the same day with a series of events like Hongqi fans celebration. On the opening day of the auto expo, according to the work plan, the organizing committee strictly conducted safety screening, body temperature check, venue disinfection and other work. All people entering exhibition halls are ordered to wear face masks, show health codes, have their body temperature measured and get their personal belongings checked. The daily visitor volume will be limited to no more than 30,000 and when too many visitors gather at a stand, staff members will evacuate the crowd.
