Momoge Wetland:wild geese return in spring

2020-03-12    JL.gov

On March 9, Momoge Wetland located in Jilin province's Zhenlai county welcomed wild geese returning to the north. The return of wild geese in spring brings vitality to this silent wetland. Around early mid-March every year, more than 100,000 wild geese such as bean geese, white-fronted geese and swan geese will stop over at Momoge Wetland.

As China's Hometown of White Cranes, Zhenlai county regards wildlife protection as an important part of epidemic prevention and control by interconnecting multi-departments. In order to promote the protection of wild animals, several towns and townships in Zhenlai county carry out publicity and patrol work, cooperate with relevant departments to crack down on illegal hunting and trading of wild animals, and adhere to strict supervision and management at the source.
