Recently, in accordance with the strategic plan of “vigorously develop the white economy, accelerate the white snow wealth”, Shulan city has fully taken the advantage of ice and snow resources, concentrated its efforts to optimize the tourism environment, improved the supporting infrastructure, enhanced the services level, and made great efforts to build a tourism brand of "Jilin Snow Village·Shulan Erhe". Through the continuous investment of human, material, and finance resources, the popularity and the number of tourists in Erhe snow village have been on the rise year by year. During the peak week of Spring Festival, there are more than 60,000 tourists coming to Erhe village. Young people working out of town have returned to hometown to start businesses and make money by opening farm-stay and selling tourist products. More than 50 business units have developed such as homestay, tavern and straw-weaving.

 

At present, the ice and snow tourism industry represented by Erhe snow village has become the sunrise industry of Shulan city. With the leading of ice and snow tourism, the projects of Nanyang Russian folk custom village and Xiaying Guandong folk custom park have been put into operation.

⑤The wildlife park in the snow village covers an area of 50,000 square meters. There are more than ten species of northeast wild animals such as roe deer, pheasant and wild goose in the park which adds activities like taking photos with animals.
