This year, Jilin city has focused on promoting its cultural tourism system and enhanced two city brands of "Rime City • Ski Paradise" and "Cool Scenery • Poetic Songhua River". Based on various cultural tourism resources such as 1,000 internet-famous check-in spots and 10 riverside camping sites, the city has launched travel guides to major festivals and theme seasons, providing tourists from all directions with high-quality routes, local delicacies, and other personalized options.
Jilin has attracted investment through the cultural tourism promotion platform, actively "went out" and "brought in", and reached preliminary cooperation consensus with companies in multiple fields. In addition, the city has comprehensively coordinated the planning and construction of tourism projects related to roads and urban renewal in various counties (county-level cities), districts and departments, and has focused on promoting the construction of 69 cultural tourism projects including 42 new projects and 27 ongoing projects, with an annual planned investment of 893 million yuan. 26 projects are set to be put into operation within the year.
Jilin has fully tapped into its distinctive tourism resources, and released 620 cultural tourism checkpoints for tourists. It has guided the Songhua Lake Administration Bureau to keep improving tourism-related infrastructure in accordance with national standards, to launch the helicopter tour and other innovative products, and to create 5A-level scenic spots. Emerging products such as the Jilin Immersive Large-Scale Landscape Light Show and the Jilin Beishan Four-Season Cross-Country Skiing Resort & Jidi Ice and Snow World have attracted a large number of tourists.
In the increasingly popular cultural tourism market, Jilin has further improved tourism services and environment. During holidays, all local departments have made joint efforts in issuing convenience policies and service measures, releasing travel routes and guides, offering free bus routes in urban areas, opening special tourism routes, implementing flexible law enforcement in transportation, and providing free access to dozens of parking lots and thousands of parking spaces.
Jilin has paid close attention to each aspect of food, accommodation, shopping and mobility, carefully developed diversified business forms with local characteristics, continuously stimulated market vitality, and committed to providing tourists with more textured travel experience.
Exquisite fridge magnets, elegant souvenirs, and a wide variety of cultural and creative products with a strong sense of design have caught the attention of tourists and become another highlight of tourism consumption.
To date, Jilin Culture and Tourism Group has established 43 sales outlets for cultural and creative product in scenic spots throughout the city. These outlets are equipped with emergency medical kits, rest areas, reading corners and other service functions, fulfilling social responsibilities for tourism promotion and social services.
