Relying on its unique ecological resources, Baishan city in recent years has created tourism brands such as "Summer of Changbai Mountain" and "Winter of Changbai Mountain", forming a comprehensive and seasonal tourism development pattern.
With the arrival of the peak summer tourism season, Baishan's red tourism routes, water tours, folk culture tours and eco-tours, all set in beautiful and well-equipped environments, have become hotspots for tourists. A large number of tourists from outside the province flock to enjoy the comfortable 22℃ summer in Baishan.
The Jingyu section of the Songhua River features wide waterways and steady flows, with steep cliffs and towering rocks on both sides. Jingyu county has now completed the construction of a water route that starts at the Songjiang Wharf, with the Yingshanhong Square as a focal point and Renyi Gorge as a key node. "Moving forward, Songhua River Cultural Tourism Group will further perfect its development plan, make solid steps in building the Songhua River Tourism Corridor, and explore the cultural connotation of the river," said Yue Lixin, deputy director of the Cultural Tourism Department of the Songhua River Cultural Tourism Group. "We will expand the operation of multiple routes on the Songhua River, upgrade basic service facilities, enhance tourism products, organize the Yimeng Island Starry Sky Camping Festival and various water and ice-snow entertainment competitions, and scientifically develop new tourism forms such as hotspot check-ins, educational tours and rural vacation to better meet the diverse needs of tourists."
The Changbai Mountain Huamei Resort is known for its cool weather in summer, attracting visitors with its lush green fields, dense forests and clear skies. Among its attractions, the No. 7 Exploration World and Kuilu Farm are particularly popular among tourists.
In recent years, the Changbai Mountain Huamei Resort has capitalized on the excellent natural endowments of the Changbai Mountain area, adhered to the international first-class resort operation and management standards, developed the "Cultural tourism +" model, and established an international first-level ecological resort. Recently, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced 22 resorts as national-level tourist resorts, with the Changbai Mountain Huamei Resort successfully included. "The resort will keep promoting the cultural tourism development of Changbai Mountain, enhance industrial integration, stimulate rural revitalization, and establish new models of all-season, all-region, and all-age tourism. This will drive the cultural tourism sector in the Changbai Mountain area and the entire Jilin province, contributing significantly to the province's one-trillion-level tourism industry target and comprehensive revitalization in the new era," according to Yang Mingyue, head of the Marketing Department at the Changbai Mountain Huamei Resort.
"Next, Baishan city will build the pilot area for practicing the 'Two Mountains' concept, plan a number of high-quality tourism projects based on local red tourism, water tourism, folk tourism and ecological tourism, and better boost tourism consumption and economic growth. At the same time, the city will put more efforts in publicity and promotion, polish the tourism service brand, further attract and gather popularity, expand the scale of the industry, continuously enhance the capacity of creating jobs, and strive to let the masses share the achievements of tourism development," said Wang Wenjiang, director of the Baishan Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau.
