At 10:38 am on May 5, Jilin-1 Kuanfu 01C and Jilin-1 Gaofen 03D27-33 satellites were sent into planned orbit by a Long March-2D rocket from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center.
Jilin-1 Kuanfu 01C, independently developed by Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co, fully inherits the mature technology applied to Jilin-1 Kuanfu 01A/B satellites and can provide images with a width of more than 150 km, a panchromatic resolution of 0.5 meters and a multi-spectral resolution of 2 meters. The satellite features high resolution, wide coverage, super-large storage and high-speed data transmission.
Jilin-1 Gaofen 03D27-33 are small and light high-resolution remote sensing satellites independently developed by Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co. The satellites, featuring low cost, low power consumption, light weight and high resolution, can provide images with a width of more than 17 km, a panchromatic resolution of 0.75 meters and a multi-spectral resolution of 3 meters.
The eight satellites will work with 46 previously launched satellites of the Jilin-1 family to form a constellation. Up to now, the number of Jilin-1 satellites in orbit has increased to 54, which can revisit any place in the world 17 to 20 times a day, providing more abundant remote sensing data and services in such fields as agriculture, forestry, marine, resources, environmental protection, urban construction and scientific experiments.
It was the 19th launch of the Jilin-1 satellite project.
