On July 26, the opening ceremony of the first "Taiwan Businessmen and Enterprises Tour to Jilin" activity was held in Changchun. With the goal of sharing revitalization opportunities and promoting integrated development, the activity aims to further expand the understanding of Taiwan businessmen and enterprises about Jilin and to strengthen bilateral economic and trade cooperation. Pei Jinjia, deputy director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and Li Wei, vice governor of Jilin province, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.
At the opening ceremony, the Association of Taiwan Investment Enterprises on the Mainland signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Jilin provincial government. According to the agreement, the two sides will establish a cooperative relationship and give full play to their respective strengths to facilitate the high-quality development of cross-Strait economic and cultural exchanges and cooperation. In addition, Jilin and Taiwan signed contracts on such projects as medical care, agricultural health care, cultural tourism, straw comprehensive utilization, new energy auto parts manufacturing base and agricultural cross-domain supply chain service system.
Li Zhenghong, president of the Association of Taiwan Investment Enterprises on the Mainland and Zhou Xiwei, vice chairman of Want Want China, delivered speeches respectively. They agreed that the "Taiwan Businessmen and Enterprises Tour to Jilin" activity is to become an important channel and platform for cross-Strait exchanges and cooperation, to inject new strong impetus into exchanges, cooperation and development between Jilin and Taiwan, and to open a new chapter of exchanges and cooperation between Jilin and Taiwan.
After the ceremony, the Provincial Taiwan Affairs Office held a symposium on Jilin's investment environment and project promotion.
