Jilin Provincial Public Security Department launches 12 more convenient service measures

On May 27, the Jilin Provincial Public Security Department launched 12 more measures to facilitate public services, including the "one-day application" for ID cards, online processing of ID card replacement, inter-provincial household registration, electronic residence permits, instant availability of compact vehicle license plates, online processing of driver's license replacement, online application for temporary vehicle licenses, online handling of traffic violations, inter-provincial private car registration, measures to assist the elderly in applying for exit and entry documents, 12367 service hotline and extending window hours.

Among the 12 measures, there are 1 for the reduction of required time, 2 for the inter-provincial service, 4 for the online service, 3 for the featured service and 2 for the public commitment. It is planned to realize online application, online display and online verification of the electronic residence permit by the end of June, and to implement the concurrent use of the electronic residence permit and physical residence permit by the end of July. With regard to the instant availability of compact vehicle license plates, the coverage is expected to reach 80 percent by the end of June and 100 percent by the end of August.

The 12 convenient service measures launched this time cover ID card, residence permit, driver's license and other common documents which are most closely related to people's daily life and have the largest demand for business processing. With the internal process reengineering and service optimization of public security organs, the measures will further relieve the difficulties of people's application for documents. By actively seeking policy support and promoting institutional innovation and business process reengineering, the province takes the lead in implementing inter-provincial household registration and private car registration and realizes the "fastest" ID card application in the whole country, minimizing links, time limits and costs for people to enjoy high-quality government services.
