On April 15, the 2021 Hongqi Supply Chain Partner Conference was held at the headquarters of FAW Group, with representatives from 482 suppliers across the country attending.
Wu Jingping, executive vice-governor of Jilin province, pointed out in his speech that the province is to fully support FAW to become a world-class automobile enterprise, encourage Changchun to build a world-class international auto city, boost the construction of Hongqi brand and continue to increase support in policy guidance, fiscal policy, supporting construction and factor guarantee, so as to create a sound business environment for the partners and projects of Hongqi brand in the supply chain, industry chain and innovation chain.
Qiu Xiandong, general manager of FAW, said at the conference that the sales volume of Hongqi brand passenger cars rose against the trend last year and exceeded 200,000. In the first quarter of this year, its sales volume reached 70,000 vehicles, with a year-on-year growth of 180 percent, laying a solid foundation for realizing the annual sales target of 400,000 vehicles.
