This year, Baicheng plans to implement 167 projects worth more than 50 million yuan, 65 more than last year, of which 127 projects with a value of over 100 million yuan accounted for 76 percent. The projects include Taonan Wind Power with an investment of 4 billion yuan, Meihua Phase III with an investment of 2 billion yuan, Taobei Carbon Fiber with an investment of 1.95 billion yuan, Tongyu Muyuan with an investment of 1.05 billion yuan, Zhenlai Wind Power with an investment of 760 million yuan, etc. By adopting measures such as green channel and agency service system, Baicheng has speeded up the pre-project procedures. To data, all 47 new projects have completed the pre-project procedures, 123 projects have started and resumed construction, and 44 major projects, such as China Forest Tour and Zhejiang Windey, have signed contracts, with the funds in place and the launched projects reaching the best level in nearly three years.
From January to February, the total output value of 159 industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 29.3 percent, and the added value increased by 19 percent, 4.9 percentage points higher than the same period last year. In particular, the output value of 50 key enterprises increased by 37.5 percent, 6.1 percentage points higher than the average level of the city, and the growth rate of output value increased by 26.4 percentage points.
In recent years, Baicheng has been selected as "China's Top Ten Cities for Business Environment" and "China's Most Valuable City for Investment" and has been rated as the "Model Unit" for soft environment construction of the whole province for three consecutive years.
