During the 2020-2021 snow season, Baishan city received 900,000 tourists for snow and ice tourism, up 42.5 percent year on year. The number of skiers per day peaked at nearly 6,000, and the hotel's occupancy rate reached 90 percent. Among the key ski resorts, the Changbai Mountain International Resort received 259,000 tourists, again reaching an all-time high. The Changbai Mountain Luneng Resort received 62,400 tourists, up 96.85 percent year on year. The whole city's snow and ice tourism revenue was nearly 1.2 billion yuan, up 35.6 percent year on year.

The opening ceremony of 2020 "Winter of Baishan" snow and ice tourism season was held at the same time as the opening ceremony of "Fun Jilin · Ski" new snow season. From November 2020 to April 2021, the event with the theme of "Winter Skiing in Baishan" planned five sections including cultural activities, sports events, national entertainment in winter, snow "meeting" Baishan promotion and "One Valley, One City" business activities, promoted 10 internet-famous snow and ice spots, such as the Changbai Mountain International Resort and Changbai Mountain Luneng Resort and launched a series of preferential policies such as consumption vouchers, hotel gift packages and ticket discounts, presenting a wonderful snow and ice feast for tourists.
