From April 9 to 10, the 10th Maritime Power Strategic Forum was held in Changchun. With the theme of "Building a New Pattern of High-quality Development of Marine Economy with Land-sea Coordination and Scientific Practice", the forum attracted over 300 experts and scholars to discuss strategies, measures and practices of the high-quality development of the marine economy. A Dong, vice governor of Jilin province, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the forum. Zhang Zhanhai, chief engineer of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Chen Lianzeng, president of the Chinese Society for Oceanography, made speeches.
In his speech, A Dong introduced the basis and advantages of developing marine economy in Jilin province to the participants. The forum had four sessions, with 31 experts and entrepreneurs engaged in deep exchanges on topics including ecological civilization construction, seawater resources utilization, island and coastal zone protection and management, deep-sea resources exploration technology and intelligent equipment, ocean observation technology, deep-sea exploration technology, etc.
