As of 2 pm on January 17, a total of 34 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 80 asymptomatic cases were reported by Jilin province, including 10 confirmed cases and 18 asymptomatic cases in Changchun city, 24 confirmed cases and 59 asymptomatic cases in Tonghua city, and 3 asymptomatic cases in Songyuan city. At present, Tonghua and Changchun have classified the regions by the risk level and limited the scope of prevention and control area according to the national requirements for differentiated and precise prevention & control. There are 17 medium-risk regions in the whole province, including 11 in Changchun and 6 in Tonghua.
By carrying out epidemiological investigation, locking the range of people involved in the epidemic and expanding nucleic acid testing, Jilin province recently found and reported a number of infected cases. This is also the reason why the number of infected cases in Jilin has been rising in recent days.
