At the press conference held by the Information Office of the Changchun Municipal Government on January 11, Zhang Xingguo, director of Changchun Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said that at present, the COVID-19 pandemic is spreading overseas, sporadic or cluster cases are reported by some parts of China, and other respiratory infectious diseases are entering a high-incidence period. He also said that Changchun has reported imported asymptomatic cases, with great pressure of epidemic prevention and control. To effectively prevent and control the virus during the Spring Festival, the following proposals are put forward:

1, Stay in Changchun for the Spring Festival holiday and avoid unessential travels outside the city. Reduce the movement, take the initiative to report when necessary and accept health management.
2, Reduce travels, gatherings and visits.
3, Simplify wedding and funeral procedures and limit the scale and number of participants.
4, Purchase cold-chain food in licensed supermarkets or markets and refuse to purchase or eat imported cold-chain food with unknown origin and no relevant certificates.
5, Wear masks correctly to reduce the risk of infection.
6, Follow personal protection measures such as frequent handwashing, regular ventilation and maintaining proper social distance. Use serving chopsticks and spoons and advocate serving of individual dishes.
7, Be the first person responsible for your own health and monitor the health of yourselves and your family members.
8, Make reasonable arrangements to receive visitors and avoid contact with the relatives, friends and guests with unknown health conditions. If unavoidable, ventilate and disinfect the surfaces of indoor objects in time after the visitors leave.
9, Keep a vigilant eye on the virus and don't ignore the risk of its spread. At present, the low temperature is suitable for the survival and reproduction of the virus, and the incidence of infection is increasing.
10, In the face of health inquiries from professionals, do not conceal the information about the return of yourself and your family members from abroad or domestic areas where epidemic cases have occurred. Please take the initiative to report to your communities (villages) and cooperate with the implementation of prevention and control measures.
11, Don't continue to work, study, travel or attend parties if you have fallen ill. If you have respiratory symptoms, see a doctor immediately.
12, Don't purchase goods online from high-risk countries or regions.
13, Don't discard used masks at will, but put them into the special garbage bin.
14. Don't be afraid to see a doctor. If you feel sick, you should seek medical advice in time and take the initiative to inform the doctor of your contact history and travel history. Register with your real name when you buy fever-reducing and cough medicines.
15. In the face of the epidemic, we should keep calm, trust the government's prevention & control measures and official voices and obtain accurate information of epidemic prevention and control via authoritative channels. We shall not start, believe or spread rumors.

Hopefully, all citizens can start from yourself, be the first person responsible for your own health, be the guardian of family health, be the participant of unit health and work together to defeat the epidemic.
