5th food festival of Jilin province kicks off in snow and ice season

Recently, the launch ceremony of the 5th food festival of Jilin province in the snow and ice season and the signing ceremony of carrying forward Jilin’s food culture and promoting the digital upgrade of the catering industry were held in Changchun, officially kicking off the promotion of catering consumption during the winter tourism season, and bringing a "warm current" of the deep integration of the snow and ice culture and the catering industry to snow-covered Jilin province.

The food festival this year focused on carrying forward Jilin’s food culture and highlighted the culinary delights in different regions of the province, with hot pot in the center, Changbai Mountain ecological food and Korean food in the east, as well as barbecue and fish feast in the west. The festival was aimed at pushing and guiding local catering enterprises to seize the opportunities of the peak snow and ice tourism season, taking advantage of the internet platform to highlight the characteristics of snow and ice and the quality of food and speeding up the deep development of Jilin’s local cuisine.
 
Since 2016, the festival has been held for four consecutive years, becoming an excellent business card of the snow and ice economy of the province. For next steps, the Jilin Provincial Department of Commerce is to strengthen the promotion of catering consumption, implement the action plan for upgrading digital consumption and promote the transformation and upgrade of catering enterprises, so as to make positive contributions to the economic development of the whole province.
