Due to freezing rain and snow, parts of power lines in Changchun city were affected. At 9 pm on the 19th, the power line in the Changchun Airport Economic and Technological Development Zone appeared the galloping phenomenon, and State Grid Changchun Electric Power swiftly sent emergency workers to fix, so as to ensure the resumption of power supply.
The electrical power tower was covered with a thick layer of ice from top to bottom, and emergency workers had to remove the ice before climbing the tower. It took more than 20 minutes to climb to the top of the tower compared with two or three minutes under normal conditions.
To ensure the stable power supply in the urban area and the fast resumption of power outage, State Grid Changchun Electric Power has dispatched 85 emergency repair teams with 1,682 workers by 10 am on the 21st and has repaired 16 220kV, 47 66kV and 69 10kV faulty power lines. The remaining 4,320 users will gradually have their power back after emergency repair.
