Recently, the 2020 project-matchmaking meeting between the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Jilin province in the field of automobile industry was held in Changchun. On the theme of "science and technology empowering tradition, innovation and intelligence creating future”, this activity was co-organized by the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Changchun Branch of CAS, the innovation platform of CAS (Jilin) for the science and technology industry, the Jilin Association for Science and Technology, the BSD Changchun Beihu Science and Technology Park and the FAWSN entrepreneurship and innovation platform.
The meeting took the form of "offline matchmaking" and "speech + interview" and invited more than 150 people to attend, including CAS teams from the Institute of Mechanics, the Shenyang Institute of Automation, the Institute of Metal, the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry and the Institute of Microelectronics, heads of FAW’s technical department, Jilin University, Changchun University of Technology and other universities, as well as enterprise experts.
During the activity, 12 representatives made wonderful theme reports on the future development of the province’s automobile industry, including Li Hongjian, president of the FAW Research Institute of Innovation Technologies, Li Jianfeng, director of the FAW R&D Institute of Intelligent Driving, Li Guodong, associate researcher of the CAS Institute of Mechanics, Zhao Jibin, researcher of the CAS Shenyang Institute of Automation, etc.
