On the morning of September 6, as one of the activities of the 15th Changchun Film Festival, the signing ceremony of a slew of projects that will move to the Changchun international movie metropolis was held in Changchun. Wang Kai, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee and Zhang Zhijun, deputy secretary of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee and mayor of Changchun, attended the activity.
At the ceremony, contracts for 107 projects such as Wanda Film and Television Shooting Center, 5G Digital Film and Television Industry Base and Changchun Film Academy of Jilin University of Arts were officially signed, with a total contract value of 148.4 billion yuan. 92 percent of the signed projects were worth more than 1 billion yuan, and 84 percent were related to three major leading industries—film, television, culture and tourism, as well as life and health and digital economy.
Meanwhile, the development plan for the Changchun international movie metropolis’s core area and the white paper on the film and television industry policy for the movie metropolis were released at the ceremony.
With large investment scale, good business structure and great development potential, the signed projects are aimed at speeding up the all-round revitalization under the guidance of Jilin province's "one key, six doubles" development strategy with high-quality construction of "four plates" and Changchun modern metropolitan area as the leading role in the process. At the same time, the signed projects will also play a positive and strong role in promoting the replacement of old growth drivers with new ones, the upgrade of industrial structure and the high-quality development of economy of the movie metropolis and will further accelerate the building of the movie metropolis as a power source and growth pole for Changchun's economic development, so as to accumulate strength for the construction of the high-quality development demonstration area of modern service industry in Jingyue and the Changchun international culture and tourism creative city.
