Road freight transport industry in Jilin province to carry out risk inspection of frozen and refrigerated food

Since July 21, the Provincial Transport Administration Bureau has organized all localities to take swift action to conduct risk inspection of the transport businesses related to frozen and refrigerated meat products, and has dispatched inspection teams to oversee the implementation of the work.

Make emergency arrangements to prevent the spread of the epidemic through road transport. First, in accordance with relevant requirements of the state, the notice of the Jilin Provincial Transport Department on risk inspection of frozen and refrigerated meat products was issued and printed on July 21, requiring all localities to swiftly carry out inspection of frozen and refrigerated meat products, specially the regions where import frozen shrimp from Ecuador. Second, the relevant departments should do a good job in disinfection and protection of frozen and refrigerated meat transport vehicles, stations and employees, so as to reduce risks related to the epidemic outbreak through road freight transport. Third, any emergency situations should be informed the relevant departments at the earliest possible time, and then be reported to upper levels. As of July 23, 181 road transport businesses across the province were inspected with 754 refrigerated transport vehicles, and all transport businesses implemented the requirements of disinfection and protection work.  
   
Strengthen supervision to pay close attention to the implementation of prevention and control work. On July 22 and 23, the Provincial Transport Administration Bureau dispatched two inspection teams to oversee the implementation of the work in Changchun city, Jilin city and other places. A total of 11 transport businesses were inspected with 17 refrigerated transport vehicles checked on the spot. According to the inspection results, all localities make key arrangements for the epidemic prevention in the transport link of frozen and refrigerated goods, all refrigerated goods operation areas are disinfected once every 2 hours, all working staff register and have temperature checks before entering plant areas and all vehicles are equipped with masks, disinfectant, disinfecting wipes, car refrigerators, food and bottle water, so as to help drivers avoid all unnecessary contact during their transport tasks.
