Jilin province starts to build the sweet corn brand

To make efforts to implement the branding strategy for strengthening agriculture, achieve the revitalization of Jilin sweet corn industry, improve agricultural efficiency, increase farmers' income and promote prosperity in rural areas, the General Office of the Jilin Provincial People’s Government issues and prints opinions on the implementation of strengthening the building of sweet corn brand to accelerate the development of sweet corn industry (hereinafter referred to as "the opinions"). It marks that Jilin province is to comprehensively start to build the sweet corn brand, so as to accelerate the development of grain industry.

According to the opinions, the building of Jilin sweet corn brand involves four aspects of contents and specific measures. In terms of brand building, the province is to build a regional brand for sweet corn by refining the brand image, creating the brand matrix and standardizing the brand supervision. In terms of marketing channels, the province is to gradually establish a sales system of sweet corn which can be interconnected within and outside the province, complemented by direct sales and distribution, and interworked online and offline through the carriers of innovation platforms and the implementation of integrated marketing. In terms of industrial development, the province is to increase efforts to attract investment, foster industrial development consortiums, make efforts to promote the scale of operation, strengthen overall quality management and comprehensively implement standardized production. In terms of scientific and technological support, the province is to establish a mechanism for collaboration and innovation, strengthen empowerment for industrial science and technology, speed up the introduction and demonstration of new varieties, make efforts to develop the circular economy, improve the development of industry, upgrade the structure as well as increase the value of sweet corn products in steps, and achieve the goal of high quality with good price.
