Recently, the General Office of the State Council issued a circular to inspect and incentivize those localities which worked hard to implement major policies and measures as well as achieved remarkable results in 2019. The establishment work of entrepreneurship and innovation demonstration base in Changchun New Area achieved outstanding results and made the list.
Changchun New Area was listed in the 19th item of the circular issued by the General Office of the State Council on inspecting and incentivizing those localities which worked hard to implement major policies and measures as well as achieved remarkable results in 2019—for the regional entrepreneurship and innovation demonstration bases with bold explorations and attempts as well as significant achievements in pushing the implementation of policies for mass entrepreneurship and innovation, promoting job creation through business start-ups, strengthening integration and innovation, supporting the platforms for mass entrepreneurship and innovation, building the development ecology for mass entrepreneurship and innovation, and creating upgraded mass entrepreneurship and innovation. Among the nineteen national-level new areas, four were mentioned in the circular—Changchun New Area, Shanghai Pudong New Area, Tianjin Binhai New Area and Sichuan Tianfu New Area.
In recent years, Changchun New Area has focused on the advantageous industries such as automobile manufacturing and biomedicine, given play to the cooperation between the government and the market, and cultivated a number of professional, featured and comprehensive incubation carriers for mass entrepreneurship and innovation, which magnifies the "cluster effect" of innovation and entrepreneurship. The Automotive Electronics Industrial Park has focused on the incubation of automotive electronics industry with 57 businesses gathered. New incubation carriers like Ferry Innovation Works have formed dynamically integrated development.
