Recently, the General Office of the State Council issued a circular on supervising and stimulating the implementation of relevant major policies and measures in 2019. In the assessment of poverty alleviation in 2019, 14 provinces (regions) including Jilin province were recognized as having completed the annual plan and achieving remarkable results in poverty relief with a good comprehensive evaluation, and were given certain rewards in the allocation of special poverty alleviation funds by the central government.
In 2019, under the leadership of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and the provincial government, the poverty-stricken population of the whole province reduced to 10,063, and the poverty incidence reduced to 0.07%. With the continuously strengthened infrastructure and public services and the steadily enhanced mass satisfaction, the comprehensive evaluation of Jilin province was "good" in the national assessment of the poverty alleviation and development work of provincial Party committees and governments with the first rank.
