From January 24 to March 24, the Jilin Provincial Medical Products Administration opened a "green channel" for emergency approvals, adopted the "handling a matter upon receipt" mechanism to reduce the processing time for approvals, and opened a "green channel" for the inspection and testing of samples with 24-hour services. As of April 27, 43 manufacturing enterprises have been approved and 87 registration certificates for medical devices have been issued. The production capacities of masks and protective suits of the whole province have increased by 3.09 million and 15,000 respectively.   

 

Amid the epidemic outbreak, the parallel approval mode has been adopted to reduce the processing time for the approvals of Class II medical devices from 83 days to 15 days. 3 medical institutions and 4 hospital-made preparation species have been approved to treat and prevent the novel coronavirus pneumonia, which makes TCM play an important role in the epidemic prevention and control. For the relevant enterprises with expired administrative licenses, supportive policies have been provided to extend the validity period, so as to ensure that the market entities go on with the production and operation of drugs and medical devices. Online processing and mail processing have been launched for administrative examinations and approvals, and all the approval matters of the provincial administration can be processed via mailing method, which realize "zero physical present". The notification commitment system has been adopted to implement the "issuing certificates before inspecting" for the qualified enterprises, so as to fully ensure the supply of the medical device market. At present, 8 enterprises have made commitments and enjoyed the benefits of policies.
