China-Northeast Asia Expo is an international comprehensive Expo approved by the State Council, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Jilin provincial government. The Expo is open to the world but with most participants from the six countries in the Northeast Asia region. Held for 11 times so far, China-Northeast Asia Expo has contributed a lot to enhancing communication and exchanges between Northeast Asian countries and promoting regional stability, development and win-win cooperation. It functions as a platform which helps to strengthen BRI cooperation between Northeast Asian countries as well as other countries and regions in the world, carry out docking of development strategies, promote cross-border infrastructure interconnection, push forward trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, and accelerate market, capital and technology flow. The Expo has made positive contributions to the construction of an open regional economy and the Northeast Asian economic circle.

 

The 12th China-Northeast Asia Expo, based on the latest scientific and technological achievements and applications in the digital era, is scheduled to be held in Changchun, Jilin province, in August, 2019, whose theme emphasizes enhancing mutual trust and cooperation to create beautiful prospects for the region.

 

The expo will cover an area of 75,000 square meters and feature six exhibition areas, including pavilions for Jilin province, for countries from Northeast Asia, for imported commodities, for the 5G Era, for Northeast China revitalization, and for the healthcare and pension industries. A total of 3,200 international standard booths will be set up to showcase goods trade, service trade, industrial status, investment, tourism and special products concerning Northeast Asia region and BRI countries. Enterprises from various countries and regions are invited to participate in the exhibition and negotiate transactions. In addition to exhibitions, a series of forums, meetings, and other activities will be held during the Expo, including the 10th Northeast Asia Cooperation High-level Forum, the GTI (Greater Tumen Initiative) Intergovernmental Consultative Committee Ministerial Meeting, the Northeast Asia Business Cooperation Forum, a series of professional supporting activities such as supply and demand docking, project promotion, industry seminars and cultural, sports, tourism and other people to people exchanges.
