Jilin witnesses a booming development in sports cause and an outstanding advantage in winter sports. In the 22nd Winter Olympic Games held in Sochi in 2014, Jilin's player Li Jianrong won the championship of the women's 500-meter short track and Han Tianyu crowned himself the second place in the men's 1500-meter short track, who respectively won the first gold medal and first medal for China in this Winter Olympic Games; Jilin's player Zhou Yang defended her champion of the women's 500-meter short track and created the apex of her career again.
