In 2018, the added value of all industries in the province was 543.711 billion yuan, an increase of 5.0% over the previous year. The added value of industries above designated size increased by 5.0%. Among them, light industry grew by 0.3% and heavy industry by 6.1%. In terms of economic types, state-owned and state-holding enterprises grew by 14.3%, collective enterprises by 32.1%, and foreign-funded and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-invested enterprises by 13.8%. In terms of classification, the mining industry dropped by 0.2%, the manufacturing industry increased by 4.1%, and the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water increased by 13.6%.
In industries designated size, the added value of key industries increased by 6.1% over the previous year, accounting for 86.8%.
The added value of the six high-energy-consuming industries increased by 2.1% over the previous year, accounting for 22.1% of the total added value of industries above designated size, that of high-tech manufacturing industry increased by 14.5%, accounting for 7.1%, and the equipment manufacturing industry decreased by 0.7%, accounting for 6.9%.
The main business income of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 3.9% and the total profit increased by 10.7% over the previous year. The total profits of key industries increased by 12.7% and that of high-tech manufacturing by 9.0%.
