In 2018, the added value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery was 120.480 billion yuan, an increase of 2.0% over the previous year. Among them, the added value of agriculture was 59.816 billion yuan, an increase of 3.2%; the added value of forestry was 4.456 billion yuan, a decrease of 8.4%; the added value of animal husbandry was 49.408 billion yuan, an increase of 25%; the added value of fishery was 2.391 billion yuan, a decrease of 42%; and the added value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery services was 4.409 billion yuan, an increase of 20%.
Grain planting area is 560 million hectares, an increase of 56.1 million hectares over the previous year. Among them, the rice planting area is 839,700 hectares, increased by 18,900 hectares; the corn planting area is 42,335,000 hectares, increase by 67,500 hectares; the legumes planting area is 343,500 hectares, increased by 14,600 hectares; the planting area for oil- bearing crops is 288,800 hectares, a decrease of 127,900 hectares.
The total grain output is 3633 million tons, with corn accounting for 27.998 million tons, an equivalent of 6616.80 kg per hectare yield; rice accounting for 6.463 million tons, or a per hectare yield of 7696.96.
The total output pork, beef, mutton, and poultry meat in the whole province is 2,517,000 tons. Among them, pork production was 1,269,900 tons; beef production was 406,6 00 tons; mutton production was 462,000 tons; poultry production was 794,300 tons. Egg production was 1,171,100 tons. The output of raw milk is 388,300million tons. The total pig livestock on hand is 8,704,000 head and 15,704,200 head has been slaughtered.
The total power of agricultural machinery in the province has reached 34.6419 million kilowatts, an increase of 5.3% over the previous year. 315,900 large and medium tractors are being used. There are 194,200 electric wells, an increase of 3.7% and 54,900 water-saving irrigation machines, an increase of 30.1%. The effective irrigation area of farmland is 2,202,600 hectares. The annual rural electricity consumption is up to 5.484 billion kWh, an increase of 3.5%.
