City Overview

Siping City is located in southwest of Jilin Province and at the interchange of Liaoning Province, Jilin Province, and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The city covers a territory area of 14,000 square kilometers, including urban area of 741 square kilometers. The total populations are 3.32 million, including 600,000 in urban area. Gongzhuling City, Shuangliao City, Lishu County, Yitong Manchu Autonomous County, Tiedong District, Tiexi District, Laiohe Farming Management Zone, Gongzhuling National Agricultural Technology Park, Siping Economic Development Zone, Siping Hongzui High-tech Development Zone, and Fanjiatun Economic Development are under the jurisdiction of Siping.

Siping has advantageous geographic location, convenient traffic, abundant resources, perfect infrastructure, and complete service functions. Besides, the industrial base is strong and the industrial system is complete. The city is known as “one of three grain depots in Northeast China” as the local agriculture is developed. It is a national key commodity grain base and livestock production and processing base.
